We map how the space should work: where to place the main function, how circulation stays clear, and how daily use feels calmer and more intentional.
You receive a two-direction Flow Preview to choose from, followed by a final Studio Project Folder with a refined layout structure and practical placement guidance.

  • This Foundation clarifies how your space should function, so layout decisions stop feeling uncertain. Delivered remotely. The focus is zoning, circulation, and placement logic, not construction drawings, approvals, or contractor documentation. The goal is a clear structure you can implement with confidence, independently or with collaborators.

    • A zoning proposal that clarifies how the space is divided by use

    • A placement plan for key elements and anchors

    • Circulation logic that explains how movement should flow through the room

    • Written guidance explaining reasoning, priorities, and trade-offs

    • A final Studio Project Folder consolidating the outcome into one coherent reference

    • One final adjustment window after delivery (see Revision policy)

    • The room feels awkward, cramped, or inefficient

    • You keep moving furniture, but nothing settles

    • Circulation cuts through the room in a stressful way

    • You need clearer zones for living, working, resting, dining, storage

    • You want functional clarity before investing in furniture

    • Construction-grade drawings or architectural documentation

    • Engineering, approvals, or technical renovation planning

    • On-site visits or contractor coordination

    • Procurement, ordering, and sourcing as standard scope

    • Projects where demolition and technical constraints dominate the brief

  • Step 1 | Purchase and payment

You secure your place in the studio queue by purchasing this Foundation.

Step 2 | Onboarding and intake (Paperform)

After purchase, you receive an onboarding email with a Paperform intake form.
The intake is required so the studio can begin.

    The intake asks for:

Basic project details and your main challenge
Photos in natural light (and evening light if possible)
How the space is used day-to-day (who lives there, routines, pain points)
A simple overview of what must stay (furniture, functions, pathways)
Any constraints (must-keep items, dislikes, access points, timeline)
Basic measurements required for flow planning (room perimeter, key openings, fixed elements)

Important: The project timeline begins when your Paperform intake is submitted and confirmed complete.

Step 3 | Studio analysis and Layout Direction Preview

Within 5 working days from confirmed intake, you receive your Layout Direction Preview, including two directions: Option A and Option B.

Behind the scenes, the studio runs an internal clarity process (StudioRituals™) to translate your inputs into spatial logic and functional priorities. Client-facing output remains practical and decision-useful.

Step 4 | Your decision window (10 days)

You choose Option A or Option B and reply by email within 10 days.

If you do not reply within 10 days, the studio will proceed with the most aligned direction based on your intake and the work completed so far, to protect momentum and delivery.

Step 5 | Final delivery: Studio Project Folder

After your decision email is received, delivery of the final Studio Project Folder is typically 10 working days.

The Studio Project Folder consolidates the chosen direction into a coherent, usable system you can implement and reference.
It includes zoning priorities, flow logic, placement guidance, and fit rules to support confident furniture decisions.

Step 6 | Final adjustment window (10 days)

After final delivery, you have 10 days to request one final adjustment round.

Adjustments apply to the flow logic and layout guidance, based on your feedback. This does not include a full restart or a second alternative direction.

  • Included: One final adjustment round after the Studio Project Folder is delivered.
You send one consolidated message with adjustments within 10 days of delivery. The studio returns one refined update.

Not included: New concept directions, a third option, or full rework outside the chosen direction.

    • Communication is handled by email for clarity and recordkeeping.

    • This Foundation is design direction, not a technical specification service.

    • If key inputs are missing, the studio may request one short clarification before beginning.

  • You will receive:

    1. Order confirmation

    2. Onboarding email with your Paperform intake link

    3. Your delivery schedule begins once intake is complete

Frequently asked questions about FOUNDATION 02 | FLOW

  • Not necessarily. Flow often improves the room by re-zoning and re-placing what you already own.

  • Yes. Note your restrictions in the intake, and we design within them.

  • Flow works very well for open-plan spaces. Zoning is one of the main strengths of this Foundation.

  • That’s welcome. Tell us what daily life requires, and we prioritise safety and ease.

  • No. Flow gives placement and function direction. Sourcing is a separate service.

  • That’s common. The output is designed to reduce overwhelm and make the next steps obvious.
